Answer to Question 1

Provide children with circuit boards, computer equipment, and telephones so that they can construct a communication module. Nearby, have children build a spaceship from large pieces of cardboard or large packing boxes. Encourage the two groups to work together.

Answer to Question 2

The children would have to research conditions that might support life and that would foster curiosity about the solar system. They would have to think creatively to design and construct the space alien.
