Answer to Question 1

They provide children with many opportunities to use and reinforce math concepts learned in school. Planned activities can further childrens progress to Piagets stage called concrete operations. Children can experience how math is used in everyday life.

Answer to Question 2

Children can weigh themselves; sort objects according to their weight; estimate the weight of an object, then check their accuracy.
