Answer to Question 1

ANSWER: Families may be contacted and receive information through e-mail. A school Web site could post up-to-date information about the school and special events and
announcements. Photographs and direct video can be sent over the Internet, keeping families informed. Voice mail at home could be used to leave positive messages about the childs day when the family is not seen face to face or when that is not a convenient time to talk. The school could have voice mail messages to convey general information to all families who call.

Answer to Question 2

ANSWER: Often children cannot remember what happened at school that day, but if a few things from the newsletter give a clue, it opens the childs memory and gets the child started talking, exercising language skills.
