ANSWER: Factors that promote prosocial behavior: prosocial curricula such as exemplified in developmentally appropriate practice guidance strategies promoting and supporting resilience educating parents regarding strategies that promote prosocial behavior. Factors that promote aggressive and antisocial behavior: living in a violent community living in poverty observing and imitating antisocial behaviors in the home, neighborhood, on TV and/or in video games being victims of harsh discipline.

ANSWER: Ego development is necessary as the ego, in Eriksons view, is the self-concept and is the basis for developing independence. The ego operates on common sense it is the part of the personality that is the interpreter of reality and mediates between id and superego.
