Answer to Question 1

Is the infectious disease contagious or will it put others at risk? Is the child is able to participate in care? Can the teacher accommodate the needs of the mildly ill child?

Answer to Question 2

Exclusion cuts down the risk for the spread of infectious diseases by removing the person who might be contagious.
