Answer to Question 1

There are four types of vegetarians: vegans, whose diets consist only of plant foods grain, legumes, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and fats from vegetable sources; lacto-vegetarians, whose diets consist of those same foods but with the addition of milk and milk products; ovo-vegetarians, who eat eggs in addition to the plant foods; and lacto-ovo-vegetarians, who eat both milk products and eggs in addition to the plant foods.

Answer to Question 2

When children bring their own lunches to school, they are more likely to consume sugar, sweets, and sweetened beverages. They are also less likely to eat vegetables, drink milk, or have adequate amounts of meat or meat alternatives.
