Celiac disease and gluten intolerance are not food allergies. Celiac disease in an autoimmune disease that damages the small intestine. Gluten intolerance is a sensitivityto gluten that results in digestive upsets.

Answer to Question 2

With adequate nutrition, the brain can grow and form connections between neurons and axons. When a child does not get adequate amounts of key nutrients it may cause a deterioration in brain growth and functioning. Brain chemistry and the functioning of the nerves of the brain can be altered if there is a change in nutrient or energy intake.
