Some children have physical challenges such as vision and hearing impairments or trouble controlling their bodies.
1.A child who has just experienced a disturbing event may use the arts as a way to express and release deep feelings.
2.Children who are pressured to make their art performance match an adult ideal or are frustrated by an art material or skill that is beyond their physical ability to master may develop feelings of failure and perform reluctantly.
3.Adults determine which artistic behaviors and skills are acceptable for children to learn.
4.The more opportunity to use arts media, methods, and tools children have, the more comfortable and skilled they will become in the creative arts.
5.Early exposure to the arts can accelerate artistic development.
