Answer to Question 1

ANSWER: The children acquire the skills, concepts, and knowledge of the curriculum through rich and varied interaction with peers, teachers, and materials. As a teacher, you prepare and organize a developmentally, individually, and culturally appropriate curriculum plan and environment to provide children with a range of high-quality learning experiences. This is based on curricular goals and objectives, ageappropriate practices, childrens interests and instructional needs, and appropriate observation, assessment, and evaluation.

Answer to Question 2

ANSWER: Curriculum is the multilevel process that encompasses what happens in an early childhood classroom, reflecting the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the program. It is both the planned and the unplanned, the written and unwritten that occurs in the classroom as children, teachers, and families live out their lives together.
