Answer: Damage to the left hemisphere is more likely to produce language disturbance than will similar damage to the right hemisphere. In general, the right hemisphere appears to be adept at spatial analysis, whereas the left hemisphere is adept at sequential analyses; language represents a series of auditory changes that occur over time.
