A patient underwent an open cholecystectomy for chronic cholecystitis. He subsequently developed an infection of the postoperative wound and was readmitted a few days later with a 103°F fever and abnormal redness and tenderness of the operative wound. A wound culture tested positive for MRSA. After administration of IV antibiotics, the patient was stabilized. The wound dressing was changed three times during the course of the admission. The patient was instructed to continue the antibiotic treatment and to return to the wound clinic in 2 days. Assign diagnosis codes for infection and procedure codes for the antibiotic (anti-infective) administration and the three dressing changes.
