Question 1

Mr. Harris was admitted after sudden loss of consciousness. Earlier on the day of admission he had been complaining of a severe headache. While seated at the dinner table, Mr. Harris suddenly collapsed and lost consciousness. Vascular studies revealed a cerebral aneurysm. He was immediately taken to surgery where aneurysmal electrocoagulation was performed. Mr. Harris tolerated the procedure; his condition is grave.

While playing baseball, this 18-year-old youngster was hit in the eye with a baseball, sustaining a retinal tear. He was admitted and underwent repair of the retina by laser photocoagulation. He tolerated the procedure well and was sent to the recovery area in good condition.
