The patient is a gentleman on chronic anticoagulation. A subgaleal lipoma has previously been removed from him. At the time he was not interested in having the seborrheic keratosis removed from his scalp, although it was offered to him at the time. He had a nice result from his original surgery and is now wishing to undergo removal of what has been determined to be an epidermoid nevus. In the operating room, a shave excision of a 4.0 cm benign scalp lesion was performed. Gelfoam dressing was placed. EBL was 15 mL. The patient tolerated the procedure well.
