How would Vygotsky describe the changes in cognition that occur during the primary years? How does this differ from Piaget's description of growth during this period?

Why do children in the primary grades remember more and for longer periods than when they were in the preschool years? In your answer, define the various forms of memory and discuss specific metacognitive strategies which can enhance it.
