Author Question: How can i find the derivative of unequally spaced tabular data ? (Read 1424 times)

It is often necessary to find the derivative point by point from a tabular data which are not equally spaced. There is no convenient way to solve the problem in my knowledge.So, please help.

Well, if it's discontinuous then "derivative" is a very approximate term anyway.

Best estimate would be the change in one column divided by the change in another column, from one row to the next.
