Answer to Question 1

Listening to customers does have its faults. Customers often focus on current needs and have a difficult time projecting their needs into the future. Other problems such as social desirability bias, responses made in haste, not fully understanding what is being asked, and not making decisions with real money have led to negative feedback on a variety of products that eventually became huge market success stories.

Answer to Question 2

True
