Answer to Question 1

A

Answer to Question 2

A product and trademark franchise is an arrangement in which the franchisor grants to the franchisee the right to buy its products and use its trade name. This approach typically connects a single manufacturer with a network of dealers or distributors. For example, General Motors has established a network of dealers that sell GM cars and use the GM trademark in their advertising and promotions. Other examples of product and trademark franchise systems include agricultural machinery dealers, soft drink bottlers, and beer distributorships. In a business format franchise, which is by far the more popular approach to franchising for entrepreneurial firms, the franchisor provides a formula for doing business to the franchisee along with training, advertising, and other forms of assistance. Fast-food restaurants and convenience stores are well-known examples of business format franchises.

Although the Roman numeral for the number 4 has always been taught to have been "IV," according to historians, the ancient Romans probably used "IIII" most of the time. This is partially backed up by the fact that early grandfather clocks displayed IIII for the number 4 instead of IV. Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.

There are major differences in the metabolism of morphine and the illegal drug heroin. Morphine mostly produces its CNS effects through m-receptors, and at k- and d-receptors. Heroin has a slight affinity for opiate receptors. Most of its actions are due to metabolism to active metabolites (6-acetylmorphine, morphine, and morphine-6-glucuronide).
