Answer to Question 1

B

Answer to Question 2

Much of the distinction between management and leadership comes from the fact that the title leader assumes competence. Consequently, an effective and successful manager can be considered a leader, but a less- Competent manager is not a leader. Overall, the debate over the difference between the two concepts does not add much to our understanding of what constitutes good leadership or good management and how to achieve these goals. It does, however, point to the need felt by many people and organizations for effective, competent, and visionary leadership/management.

This is partially backed up by the fact that early grandfather clocks displayed IIII for the number 4 instead of IV. Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.
