Answer to Question 1

All are foam cakes. Angel food cakes are made with air from an egg white foam as the source of leavening. Sponge cakes are made with whole eggs, which are beaten and added separately. Chiffon cakes also contain the whole egg, separated, but also contain baking powder and oil.
