Imagine an employee is fired due to poor performance, and the employee files a wrongful termination lawsuit against the employer. What information from the personnel file will be helpful to the employer in defending against this claim?

The employer must have documentation of the employee's poor performance, a copy of the employee's job description, and any proof that job expectations were outlined with the employee.
