Answer to Question 1

d

Answer to Question 2

B
Complete heart block is an advanced heart block, and beta blockers are contraindicated.
Beta blockers are especially good for patients with systolic hypertension.
Tachycardias increase cardiac oxygen demand. By preventing beta-receptor activation, beta blockers reduce the heart rate and, consequently, cardiac oxygen demand.
Beta blockers should be used routinely unless significant left ventricular (LV) dysfunction is a factor.
