Answer to Question 1

Answer: Self-monitoring: the tendency to be chronically concerned with one's public image and to adjust one's actions to fit the needs of the current situation. People who are high on self-monitoring act more inconsistently because they adjust their self-presentation to fit the situation.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: The tendency for people to think that others are paying much closer attention to them than they really are.
