Ascariasis is caused by Ascaris lumbricoides and transmitted via ingestion of contaminated food or water and by fecal-oral trasmission.
Enterobiasis or pinworm infestation is caused by Enterobius vermicularis via ingestion of contaminated food or water and by fecal-oral transmission, and from direct contact and sharing of contaminated beddings or bedclothes.
