Intermittent fever, without other symptoms of infection, drench-ing night sweats, itchy skin (pruritus), and fatigue are relatively common. The patient with Ep-stein-Barr virus does not have night sweats. The patient with acute leukemia does not have night sweats or enlarged lymph nodes. The patient with Burkitt lymphoma does not have enlarged lymph glands or night sweats.
