3. Corticosteroids cause protein catabolism with skeletal muscle wasting, and contribute to osteoporosis, secondary to increased osteoclast activity.
4. Potassium-sparing diuretics do not adversely affect bone and muscle function.

2. It should be taken on an empty stomach for best absorption.
3. Fluids should be encouraged.
