B Correct. When ambulating a child who begins to have a seizure, it is necessary to ease the child to the floor and to turn the child onto his or her side. Turning the head to the side prevents secretions from pooling in the mouth.
C Incorrect. While obtaining a set of baseline vitals should be initiated once the child is stabilized, it would be most important to protect the child's airway.
D Incorrect. Putting a pillow under the child's head would not prevent the pooling of secretions in the mouth and, therefore, is not recommended.
