There are many goals from advertising campaigns. One popular model of goals is Attention, Interest, Desire, Action (AIDA). The flow is as follows: Get the ad recipients' attention, pique their interest, see if you can attract them to the brand, and induce a purchase or intention to purchase.
Marketing goals typically fall into one of the following three categories:
1 . Cognition: Increase awareness and knowledge about the brand.
2 . Affect: Enhance attitudes and positive associations about the brand.
3 . Behavior: Encourage more buying of the brand.
