Answer to Question 1

A lack of system integration in marketing communications may also occur when performance monitoring at any level (corporate, marketing, or marketing communications) is not followed by control. In other words, a manager at any hierarchical level may monitor system performance based on certain well-thought-out objective dimensions, but no control is exerted.

Answer to Question 2

The marketing communications system lacks integration when marketing communications resources are allocated in a manner that has little to do with the resource requirements of the selected marketing communications programs.
