Hiring a local advertising agency is appropriate when knowledge of the market is important. A local agency could better design the campaign for each individual market. In addition to its knowledge of the local market, local agencies also offer the advantage of begin capable of facilitating interaction with local media and government. On the negative side, the quality of advertising is not at the level offered by large international advertising agencies. Also, if a company decides to hire local advertising agencies, it will not be able to coordinate a global, standardized advertising campaign.
