How is the socialization process different for women than for men?

What is the current global trend in regards to type of government?
 
  a. Countries with the greatest number of poorer people are the most likely to be democratic.
  b. The current trend is toward more authoritarian governments.

Answer to Question 1

Some of the socialization experiences that Shepard points out as being unique to women are the tension between roles as a wife/mother and worker, the void experienced when children leave home and husbands are preoccupied with work, and the double standard in terms of the visible signs of aging.
