How is the socialization process different for women than for men?

Answer to Question 1

Some of the socialization experiences that Shepard points out as being unique to women are the tension between roles as a wife/mother and worker, the void experienced when children leave home and husbands are preoccupied with work, and the double standard in terms of the visible signs of aging.
