The pineal gland releases melatonin, which regulates sleep-wake cycles. The adrenal glands produce cortical steroids, promoting muscle development and stimulating the liver to release stored sugar when we experience stress. The adrenal gland also
releases epinephrine and norepinephrine, which help the body to prepare with stressful situations. The gonads produce estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone, which serve
