Answer to Question 1

They can exercise with others, which can help them meet goals. The break in the middle of the workday also can give them more energy for the afternoon and decreases stress.

Answer to Question 2

The sympathetic nervous system controls many involuntary activities of the glands, organs, and other parts of the body. It prepares the body for a fight or flight response to an emergency situation by increasing the respiratory and heart rate, raising the blood pressure, and slowing the digestive processes. The parasympathetic nervous system, which has the opposite effect on the body, complements the activities of the sympathetic nervous system. It acts as a brake by slowing the heart and respiratory rates, lowering blood pressure, and increasing the activity of the digestive system.
