Answer to Question 1

Correct Answer: 1, 3, 4, 2

In the 1970s-1980s the term holistic health was commonly used to explain a comprehensive approach to health care including physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual attributes of a person. In the 1990s-2000 the term alternative medicine was used to describe an area that included a wide array of therapies that were used as an alternative to conventional medicine. In 2008 the term complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) was used to describe a group of diverse medical and healthcare systems, practices, and products that are not generally considered part of conventional medicine. Currently the term integrative medicine is being used to describe an approach to medicine that combines treatments from conventional medicine and CAM for which there is some high-quality scientific evidence of safety and effectiveness.
