Avoid smoking.
Limit alcohol consumption.

Answer to Question 2

Surgery: removal of cancerous tissue.
Radiation: designed to kill cancerous cells and shrink tumors.
Chemotherapy: drugs that kill cancer cells.
Hormonal therapy: hormones that stop tumors from growing.
A concern is that drugs and radiation kill healthy tissue as well.
