Answer to Question 1

Answer: In the first stage, primary syphilis appears. A chancre appears 10 days to 3 months after infection, in the spot where the bacteria entered the body. In the next stagesecondary syphilissymptoms may include a rash on the body and possible hair loss. In most cases, the disease then enters a latent stage. If left untreated, it may enter a final, tertiary stage, which can result in blindness, neurological problems, and even death.

Answer to Question 2

Answer:
HIV attaches to CD4 receptors on T cell.
HIV fuses with T cell membrane, drops its coat, and ejects its RNA into cell.
HIV RNA converts to a double strand of DNA that travels to T cell nucleus.
HIV uses host cell machinery to copy itself.
HIV RNA directs assembly of other virus components. New HIV buds off of infected cell.
