Answer to Question 1

Although ultrasound predates computers, it now makes use of computers to create dynamic images. Unlike X-rays, ultrasound involves no radiation. It uses very high-frequency sound waves and the echoes they produce when they hit an object. This information is used by a computer to generate an image, producing a two-dimensional moving picture on a screen.
