Answer to Question 2

The tendency to center on the most perceptually obvious aspect of an object or event and the tendency to be dominated by perception are two important characteristics of preoperational thought. Concrete thinkers are able to reason logically with concrete materials, and they have developed classification and seriation abilities. Formal thought includes the ability to reason logically in the abstract as well as the ability to think hypothetically.
