Answer to Question 1

The hydrologic cycle describes the movement of water and water vapor through the earth system. The hydrologic cycle includes water in the form of precipitation and water vapor due to evaporation and transpiration by plants. Water moves down and also horizontally through the sediments and soil near the Earth's surface.
