Answer to Question 1

C

Answer to Question 2

A
Feedback:
In type I diabetes mellitus, the insulin deficiency is absolute, so these clients require lifelong insulin administration. Clients with type II diabetes do not require lifelong insulin injections, but they may need insulin for adequate glucose control. Gestational diabetes mellitus occurs only at the time of pregnancy and disappears after childbirth. In an impaired glucose homeostasis condition, a client's glucose levels are above normal, but not high enough to meet the criteria for diabetes; hence, it is not necessary to administer insulin lifelong.

There are major differences in the metabolism of morphine and the illegal drug heroin. Morphine mostly produces its CNS effects through m-receptors, and at k- and d-receptors. Heroin has a slight affinity for opiate receptors. Most of its actions are due to metabolism to active metabolites (6-acetylmorphine, morphine, and morphine-6-glucuronide).
