Answer to Question 1

4. I need to see my doctor before my prescription runs out so I can get a refill..

Rationale:
Schedule II drugs cannot be refilled without the client seeing the physician. Not taking pain medication until the pain becomes severe is an inappropriate use of pain medication for a patient with terminal cancer. The client must see the physician for a refill, not call the office. A Schedule IV drug may not effectively relieve the client's pain.

Answer to Question 2

D
Fine crackles are heard in COPD, CHF, pneumonia, pulmonary fibrosis, and atelectasis. Stridor is heard in croup, foreign body obstruction, and large airway tumors. Pleural friction rub is heard in pleurisy, tuberculosis, pulmonary infarction, pneumonia, and lung abscesses. A sonorous wheeze is heard in asthma, bronchitis, airway edema, tumor, bronchiolar spasm, and foreign body obstruction.

There are major differences in the metabolism of morphine and the illegal drug heroin. Morphine mostly produces its CNS effects through m-receptors, and at k- and d-receptors. Heroin has a slight affinity for opiate receptors. Most of its actions are due to metabolism to active metabolites (6-acetylmorphine, morphine, and morphine-6-glucuronide).
