Answer to Question 1

A, D, E
Feedback:
Characteristics of the nursing process include active client involvement, critical thinking, and respect for legal parameters. The nurse does not choose interventions based on the fact that they exclude members of other health disciplines. Consideration of costs to the institution is not a primary characteristic of the nursing process.

Answer to Question 2

D
Because of the importance of cost control and prevention of infection transmission, avoid bring-ing excess linen into a patient's room. Once you bring linen into a patient's room, even if the li-nen is not used, it must be laundered before being used by another patient. Do not place back into the linen area or use in another patient's room. Excess linen lying around a patient's room creates clutter and obstacles for patient care activities.

These people included 55 lung cancer patients, 31 breast cancer patients, and 83 cancer-free patients. The dogs detected 54 of the 55 lung cancer patients as having cancer, detected 28 of the 31 breast cancer patients, and gave only three false-positive results (detecting cancer in people who didn't have it).
