Answer to Question 1

ANS: C
A centrally acting alpha2 agonist, such as clonidine, can cause dry mouth and sedation. Clonidine also can cause severe rebound hypertension.
Clonidine does not cause agitation or restlessness.
Clonidine does not cause diaphoresis but does vasodilate the skin and may cause flushing.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: A
NSAIDs can affect blood pressure by blunting the effect of the antihypertensive agents.
Calcium supplements, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), and antibiotics have no drug interactions with antihypertensive agents.
