In assessing the normality of data, why is a normal probability plot especially advantageous for small samples?

Answer to Question 1

Because it is especially difficult to assess the shape of a histogram when the data set is small but it is relatively easy to judge whether a string of data points forms a straight line regardless of how many points you have (as long as you have at least three or so).
