Descriptive statistics involve analysis of data by describing results in terms such as frequency, measures of central tendency, and percentages. Inferential statistics involve data analysis based on the probability of predicting an occurrence by the use of such statistical tests as chi-square, analysis of variance, Students' t distribution, or other statistical tools.
