Answer to Question 1

Pork, beef, lamb, and poultry. They can be shredded, cut into small pieces, or served as part of a mixture. Availability, cost, and religion limit the use of meats in dishes.

Answer to Question 2

Wheat grows well in the North because of the climate, whereas rice is the staple crop in the South because of the monsoonal climate there.
