Answer to Question 1

Aldactone: anorexia, nausea, diarrhea, hyperkalemia, dehydration, hypokalemia, transient elevation in BUN, and acidosis.

Lasix: abdominal discomfort and pain, diarrhea (with oral solution), hypokalemia, hypochloremia alkalosis, fluid and electrolyte imbalance, hypocalcemia, hypomagnesemia, hyperglycemia, and impairment of glucose tolerance.

Answer to Question 2

CPK, CPK2 , and AST. Glucose and WBC will rise immediately after a MI, but they rise after any type of trauma and do not specifically indicate a MI.
