Answer to Question 1

Several attempts to lower Mrs. R's blood sugar with insulin and a combination of other medications resulted in an increase in blood sugar even though she tried to follow her diet and the doctor's orders.

Answer to Question 2

The RD should restrict her counseling to nutrition, but some psychology does overlap. For instance: when GG eats, she should be relaxed and not eat in a hurry. GG should plan her day in such a way that she has time to eat. The RD should be able to see this and give simple counsel. The RD should also know the resources available to refer her client to.
