Answer to Question 1

1
Rationale: When mothers consume sufficient iron during pregnancy the infant is born with iron stores to last for several months. Insufficient stores of iron may result in delays in motor and cognitive development. Iron insufficiency also results in anemia. Fluoride, not iron, is needed for mineralization of bones and teeth.

Answer to Question 2

B
Fat stored in the abdominal area is called visceral fat. Gynoid fat is stored around the hips, but-tocks, and thighs. Essential fat protects vital organs in the body. Subcutaneous fat is all storage fat, regardless of the site of storage.
