Answer to Question 1

There are many things to consider, but for college students, the credits versus compensation is always a big debate. If the possibility arises to have a paid internship in which one still receives college credit, this would be the perfect relationship. After researching the potential positions available, be sure to stay focused, work hard, make a name for oneself, because these traits could lead to potential employment after graduation.

Answer to Question 2

The prison captain is in charge of the security of most prisons. As the highest ranking uniformed officer (unless the prison has the office of a major), the role of the captain is to see that the warden's directives are being enforced in the prison and that staff are complying with these directives. The captain is also responsible for taking whatever measures are necessary to prevent major incidents, such as offender physical altercations, assaults on staff, and contraband in the prison. If they occur, the job of the captain is to ensure that such incidents are handled appropriately and to minimize the negative impact. The prison captain is responsible for developing emergency plans and to routinely conduct drills on these plans.
